Thursday: The 1975 – ‘The Sound’

The 1975 bring a new kind of vitality to their set with a song that is the epitome of finding the purest of happiness that can only be savored within the moment. Easily becoming the most popular song from their most recent album, “The Sound” provides a catchy and energetic atmosphere that can only truly be achieved live and under the command of lead singer Matty Healy’s request for the audience to let loose in the final bridge. It is guaranteed that you will not be able to listen to this song again without at least a subtle presence of goosebumps in the wake of this memorable performance.

Friday: The Struts – ‘Could Have Been Me’

New to the Lollapalooza scene, The Struts‘ hype track has been on the rise since their debut EP, Have You Heard?, was released last year. Something about the band’s classic glamour rock look and vigor makes “Could Have Been Me” a performance that brutally awakes the soul in the best way possible. Talk about the perfect way to lose your voice.

Saturday: Two Door Cinema Club – ‘Are We Ready (Wreck)’

“Are We Ready (Wreck)” came out in June as the Two Door Cinema Club’s first official release since 2013. Crowd-engaging backing vocals between verses have a choral power that positively contributes to the performance. Even if you don’t know all the words to this catchy tune, you can still participate in this fun and jam-worthy highlight of their set.

Sunday: Halsey – ‘Colors’

This emotional track is Halsey’s newest single from her recent album, BADLANDS. Possessing some of the most intensely thoughtful lyrics of the artist’s set list, this song is surely one that impresses in a live environment like Lollapalooza. Halsey’s ability to animate the closely personal story that she sings through “Colors” is a captivating factor in the energy she brings to the stage.
