Today Metallica announced their “WorldWired” North American tour in support of their newest album Hardwired…To Self-Destruct. The “WorldWired” tour is to be produced by Live Nation and starts in Baltimore, Maryland at the M&T Bank Stadium. From there the tour will crisscross North America as the band makes their first official North American tour since 2009. Supporting Metallica will be Avenged Sevenfold and Volbeat, who will open for Metallica for most of the tour run.

Legacy Fan Club members will have access to presale tickets at 9:00am local time on Tuesday, February 14, while all Met Club members will have access at 11:00am local time that same day. Tickets for the public will go on sale Friday, February 17 at 10:00am local time. Each ticket purchased will come with a copy of Metallica’s newest album Hardwired…To Self-Destruct, in either digital download or physical copy formats. Fans should expect to hear from Warner Music Artist Services on how they can redeem their albums 14 business days after purchasing their tickets.

The band has also announced that Citi is the official credit card for the “WorldWired” tour, with Citi card members being able to take advantage of special show dates on Tuesday, February 14 at 11:00am local time in the United States.

Metallica has revealed their partnership with CID Entertainment to offer four special enhanced experiences on the tour, including special amenities, including: early venue access, a visit to the “Memory Remains” exhibit of Metallica memorabilia, and meet-and-greets with the band.

Additionally, Metallica has announced the creation of the All Within My Hands Foundation, which will raise funds to support national, local, and Bay Area charities that each individual band member will support, along with the continuing donation to music educations programs and local food banks.
