]]> There really is nothing worse than a concert ending before you’re ready for it to end. When the lights come on and everybody starts heading towards the exit, you can’t help but feel sad and wish the music and magic would continue forever. The answer to post-show sadness is, of course, after-parties. After-parties can sometimes be more fun than the actual festival, especially in smaller, more intimate venues. Artists play longer and mix up their sets, playing tunes and beats you might not usually hear them play on stage during the festival. If you pace yourself, you and your friends can continue dancing like fools and having the time of your lives until the early hours of the morning with your favorite artists. Spring Awakening Music Festival just released its afters for the upcoming festival and Chicago better buckle down for not-to-miss music.

Chicago is renowned for its wide array of music venues and this year’s afters will be held at some of Chicago’s most beloved locations. Venues include the club scene favorites the MID, Prysm, Smart Bar and Sound-Bar, which are sure to provide a more intimate setting (and fewer tickets available!). Chicago favorite Excision will surely sell out his performance at the legendary House of Blues and you’ll be able to hear GRiZ’s funky tunes at Concord Music Hall.
