]]>You’re (almost) ready to a music festival, CONGRATULATIONS!!!

Even getting to this part can pose some difficulties, so let me ease the load by helping you with what’s next: packing.
When done right, packing can be easy breezy and make your festival experience feel like you’re truly at home. When done wrong, well…let’s just say you DON’T want to make that rookie mistake.
Take it from a veteran of 25+ music festivals, my first couple rodeos were filled with mistakes of overpacking, not packing enough, and the worst; forgetting jumper cables.
After years of improvising and memories I’ll never forget, I’ve compiled a list of festival necessities. Feel free to take advantage of it so you don’t have that, “OH SHIT!” moment when you’re hours from home.
Before you even THINK about leaving, put these items with you, somewhere safe:

Feeling clean is something everyone is desperate for day 3 of the festival. Packing all these will get you give you some dignity, as far as your hygiene goes.

Packing clothes is tricky, and this is where many people overdo it. Remember to try everything on, wear the bulky stuff, and roll up your clothes before packing. Try to limit your clothes to one bag!

The more decked out your campsite is, the better. You really start to appreciate the extra touches after your campsite looks like a tornado hit it, while the neighbors looks like a palace.
This section of the list is crucial for the as homey of an experience as you can get. TRIPLE CHECK this list if you want to camp comfortably!

Entertainment is going to be different for everyone, more or less. The first couple things are pretty generic, but now is the time to think about what you want to do in the meantime, when you’re not in the festival.

For food, I tend to cook and eat a giant breakfast in the morning, pack some snacks, and get another bite inside the venue.
Classic festival cuisine has consisted of grilled PB&J, chocolate chip pancakes, avocado toast, breakfast sandwiches, grilled cheese and apple sandwiches; whatever concoctions you choose to create.
I usually try and use all the perishables in the first day, and save non perishables for the later end of the festival. I am not allergic to anything, so this is the grocery list I usually go with:

Is there anything not on here that you guys consider is a necessity? Do you have any questions about whats on / not on here? Comment below and let’s talk about it!
All the love,
Katy

“Forbidden Kingdom represents and expresses the very roots of all Bass and Dubstep music,” according to the event’s Facebook page.
Guests can expect a “Lost Lands-style festival“, as portrayed by the event founder and owner of Apex Presents, PePe Vargas.

They definitely nailed that Lost Lands-style! From the classic heavy bass of Excision, Zomboy, and Doctor P, to the emerging riddim artists like, He$h and Hekler; from a dose of chill-vibes by Adventure Club and XIE, to the guitar-shredding bass head Sullivan King, this festival is like Lost Lands had a baby. A little beach baby.
But, there is more to the festival than a jaw-dropping lineup. There is a back-story, actually, a 59-page back-story that you can read on the festivals page.
The “Forbidden Tale” behind the Forbidden Kingdom is an adventurous anecdote about King Cornivorus, who is the leader of the New World, but has yet to take over the Forbidden Kingdom. Nothing will stop him and his Cyborg army from the conquest — not even the brave and noble character Alana.
I think it’s really cool that someone invested into the idea of this festival differently; by creating a meaning behind it. I have yet to come across a festival with a full-fledged fictional story behind it. I’d imagine this makes the festival more enjoyable by painting a picture for guests to anticipate, and acting as a visionary for the festival organizers.
Speaking of anticipation, Nitti Gritti just hyped up the festival even more by dropping the “Forbidden Kingdom Anthem.” This festival is the epitome head-banging, and this track makes you want to do just that. This tune is just a taste of the bass you’ll get in Florida.
You can check it out on below and download on YoutubeRed, Spotify, Soundcloud, and more!
Vargas expects the fest to go exceptionally well, considering its the first bass & dubstep festival of its kind to hit the state of Florida. Considering the first year of Lost Lands was outrageously legendary.
If you’re interested in attending the festival, tickets are available by clicking here , or at the event’s website, but hurry! Tickets are going fast! All tiers are sold out except the 4th. Two days at the Forbidden Kingdom come out to only $188 dollars.
If you can’t make it, stay tuned for a review because a couple of friends and I will be attending the festival!
As always, thank you for reading! <3
Stay cool,
Katy
