]]>A lot of older artists have expressed that they don’t relate to the music of today and have no desire to participate in it. Although many feel this way, they still want to connect to the culture and this has led to a new trend. Podcasts. A lot of older musicians and even some young are branching out into the world of music podcasting.
Podcasting has provided a lot for artists. Artists have started podcasting to reach their specific demographics and share their thoughts and insights on music today and the game that is the business of music. These shows do things like review music, talk music logistics and politics, interview famous musicians, and some of the best storytelling a music fan could ask for.
Some famous music podcasts are The Joe Budden Show, Drink Champs, Million Dollars Worth Of Game and Questlove Supreme. These are just some of the most popular podcasts and most of them are run by artists themselves such as Joe Budden, Noreaga, Questlove of The Roots and more. My favorite right now is Drink Champs where rapper Noreaga sits down and shares drinks with some of the music business’s biggest legends.
In this video, rappers Fabulous and Jadakiss sit down and talk with Noreaga and Sean “Diddy” Combs about the events that led to the popularity of The Breakfast Club and many other topics. So if you’re looking for something to do during quarantine time, one of these shows may be a very entertaining and educational way of passing time.
