Last week, Grammy-winning singer/songwriter Sam Smith and UK house duo Disclosure released their second single together. Smith and Disclosure previously collaborated on the 2012 song “Latch,” which proved to be a breakout hit for both artists, peaking at numbers 11 and 7 on the UK and US singles charts, respectively.
Disclosure teased the debut of their new single with Smith on Twitter in early July, revealing the track name “Omen” and the artwork for the single. The song and it’s official music video were released July 27th as the second single from Disclosure’s upcoming LP Caracal, which is out September 25th on PMR/Island Records. The duo also announced a North American tour yesterday, which will visit 14 cities in the US and Canada during September/October, including a show at Chicago’s Navy Pier on October 15th. A full list of tour dates and links to purchase tickets can be found on Disclosure’s official website.
Sam Smith is currently on tour, following a successful vocal surgery in May of this year. He recently headlined Chicago’s Lollapalooza festival, performing on the Bud Light stage in Grant Park this past Saturday.
