Road Tripping with Kyle Watson

If Kyle Watson of Johannesburg South Africa isn’t already on your radar; you’ve been missing something big. Having released huge tracks with the likes of Bunny Tiger, Box of Cats, Dirtybird, and Heldeep; Watson brought forth his latest EP on This Ain’t Bristol. Titled, Road Trips, Kyle’s EP was a must while driving to kick off festival season this past week. Road Trips is out now (since 03/10/2017) on Beatport and Soundcloud and will be available everywhere else 03/24/2017. Kyle Watson is a prime example of current Tech House talent. Listen to his track record (seriously, no pun intended) and Check the SoundCloud preview here!

1. “Road Trips (Original Mix)” – [4:59] 122 BPM
The EP’s title track is a scrumptious mix of whirring bass, stimulating highs, and audio psychedelia. The track gives the feel of barreling down a highway, taking in the views, in a car that costs a ridiculous sum of money.

2. “Uh (Original Mix)” – [6:06] 123 BPM
This track will have you making your bass face and shaking what your momma blessed you with. “Good Vibes House” as the EP is tagged on SoundCloud is absolutely an accurate description, especially for this track.

3. “That’s Kinda Wavy (Original Mix)” – [5:22] 122BPM
Starting off with some unsettling vocals, Kyle slips into a sultry bassline that’ll have you soaring high. Just don’t go feeling your face in public when it starts feeling ‘kinda wavy’.

Kyle consistently churns out high-quality production. With an ear classically trained in music, he exhibits a perfect marriage of talent and creativity. With many huge names in the scene throwing down his tracks, it looks as though we will be hearing a lot more from this South African jewel.
