Weird Radar Review: Glockoma – Key Glock

Hello all! Happy New Year! I’m back with a review to top off the beginning of the year, and I wanted to review a mixtape that I’ve been listening to for a while now.

Today, I’m reviewing Memphis rapper, Key Glock’s mixtape, Glockoma. I wasn’t too familiar with Key Glock, until I kept seeing people post about him, and my friend who’s a DJ started playing his music around me, and that’s how I became introduced to Key Glock. I know I’m tardy for the party, but better late than never, right?

The Paper Route Empire signee, Key Glock consistently continues to release music that doesn’t have features, but still bumps. In my opinion, as an artist, that’s a strong quality to have. Most artist these days clutter their projects with features from so many people, but to have no features is a brave thing to do.

“Glockoma” was released November 23, 2018, and he also released a mixtape without features in February 2018 titled, “Glock Bond.”

Glockoma has production from well known producers, Tay Keith, Honorable C.N.O.T.E, Buddah Bless, TM88, and many more! Throughout Glockoma, Key Glock expresses how cooler he is than you, his diamonds, and why he’s dope; but all in an undeniable way. Check out the visuals for his singles, Since 6ix and Dope.

My favorite tracks from Glockoma are:

  • Dope
  • Maybach
  • Yea!!
  • Crazy
  • Walking Ticket
  • Once Upon A Time
