Ozzy Osbourne to Reunite with Zakk Wylde

It’s official! A few months ago, Ozzy Osbourne announced that he has plans for a new album and solo tour beyond his work with Black Sabbath. The line-up for the band was in speculation for some time, until this past week when it was announced that Ozzy would reunite with his longtime guitarist Zakk Wylde for Ozzy’s summer tour.

Osbourne and Wylde go back to 1988, when Wylde replaced Jake E. Lee as guitarist in Osbourne’s band, recording numerous albums with Ozzy. He also went on to form the band Black Label Society in 1999, as well as doing some solo work; his most recent album, Book of Shadows II, was released last year.

It is unknown at this time if Wylde will have a role beyond live performances, however, the press release did state that the Prince of Darkness would be putting out an album sometime next year.
