Bandcamp to Donate All Proceeds to the ACLU

According to a statement released by Bandcamp, the music streaming and download service has announced that all of the proceeds they earn on Friday, February 3rd, will be donated to the American Civil Liberties Union, commonly known as the ACLU. That said, they will not be giving away any of the proceeds that go towards the artists.

So what does this mean for you? It means that you can go and legally buy music at the highest quality, and you won’t only be supporting some of your favorite artists, but you will also be supporting an amazing cause as well.

Since this is happening Friday, you still have time to review Bandcamp’s statement on their website. You can also shift through their entire catalogue and look for material that you might find worthy of your support, or continue to support artists you already enjoy.
