Last month, former AC/DC drummer Phil Rudd pleaded guilty to charges of threatening to kill and drug possession. As reported, court documents showed that Rudd was angered by lack of sales from his solo album Head Job, which came out in August of last year. He fired several of his employees and asked one of his associates to kill his personal assistant.
In an interview with Australian television program Current Affairs, Rudd revealed that he tried to make contact with AC/DC guitarist Angus Young, stating that he was upset that he was replaced by Chris Sade for the current AC/DC tour. When asked if he wished he was playing with the band, he stated:
“I’m sure they’re having a great old time. I’m sure they’re really enjoying playing. I’m sure it sounds really great.”
Rudd later went on to say:
“I’ve seen the error of my ways… It’s onward and upward from here.”
The drummer is currently on bail and awaiting sentencing on June 26. Meanwhile, his former band mates in AC/DC are currently on their Rock or Bust trek.
