Drama Stirs Over Kid Rock’s Tweet

Kid Rock is one of many to fall into the social media trap with his most recent tweet about popular pop star, Taylor Swift.

He accused her of “sucking” up to the liberal media in order to get further ahead in Hollywood, referencing her most recent role in the upcoming rendition of “CATS (The Musical).”

As one could expect, this tweet gathered a lot of traffic with over 62,000 replies, 33,000 retweets and over 147,000 likes. It has undoubtedly both angered and rocked Twitter.

“Taylor Swift wants to be a democrat because she wants to be in movies…period. And it looks like she will suck the door knob off Hollyweird to get there. Oldest move in the book. Good luck girl.”

There does not seem to be a direct reaction or response from Taylor Swift, especially not after accepting the first-ever Icons award at the Teen Choice Awards on August 11, 2019.

“Shout out to whoever it was at the Teen Choice Awards who decided to put the itty bitty pretty kitty committee on this surfboard. These are my furry children and this is a proud moment for me. It’s so.. meow. Aesthetically speaking, this may be my favorite award,” said Swift.

Of course, that didn’t stop the supporters of Swift from attacking Kid Rock for his tweet, going as far to accuse him of being misogynistic for the wording of his tweet. Stars like Katharine Mcphee, Patricia Arquette, Sheryl Crow, Chrissy Teigen, and most recently, Kacey Musgraves have joined in on scolding Kid Rock for his tweet.

Musgraves was recently accused of liking a tweet of Kid Rock’s, which caused a slew of angry fans to attack Musgraves for “supporting” Kid Rock. In response, Musgraves claimed to have been hacked and issued out a statement on Twitter supporting Swift.

There seems to be no bad blood between Swift and Musgraves, as Swift liked her tweet.

Kid Rock has not tweeted since making that tweet and no other statement has been made by him about this tweet towards Swift.
