Summer Albums to Anticipate

It’s the middle of summer with little to do due to the current pandemic. One good way to stay entertained is by checking out new music! Here are some albums coming out in July and August!

Oliver Tree – Ugly is Beautiful

Oliver Tree gained recognition with “Alien Boy” and quickly gained a fanbase. The rapper has his debut album, Ugly is Beautiful, coming out on July 17th. COVID-19 pushed back the release date twice, which has caused lots of anticipation from fans. If you like electric beats mixed with a carefree vibe then this is the album for you!

Neck Deep – All Distortions Are Intentional

The UK based pop-punk band are set to release their fourth album, All Distortions Are Intentional, on July 24th. The band released a single, “Lowlife,” to kick off the new era. With a fresher sound and a new member, this album is set for a fun summer. 

Stand Atlantic – Pink Elephant

Following their release of Skinny Dipping, the female-fronted band is releasing their sophomore album, Pink Elephant, on August 7th. The band recently announced the album with the single, “Jurassic Park.” With energetic instrumentals and a powerful frontwoman, the album is highly anticipated by fans. If you like pop music with a heavier edge then this is the perfect album to check out!

Bright Eyes – Down in the Weeds, Where the World Once Was

Following a nine-year hiatus, the indie band is set to release their tenth album on August 21st. With a chilled-out single, “Mariana Trench,” this album is going to be perfect for a night of relaxing.

Declan McKenna – Zeros

Following the success of his debut album, Declan McKenna shows no signs of slowing down with a new highly anticipated album. Zeros was set to release back in May, but due to the pandemic, it was pushed back. The new release date is August 21st.  With an alternative indie vibe, the single “Beautiful Faces” sets a tone for the rest of the album.
