The Neighbourhood Releases New Album “Chip Chrome & The Mono-Tones”

Alternative rock band, The Neighbourhood, released a new album, Chip Chrome & The Mono-Tones, which came out on September 25. This is the fourth and final studio album that the L.A. band will be releasing before their contract with Columbia Records expires. Hopefully, that doesn’t mean there won’t be any new music from The Neighbourhood in the future, because this album is sure to be a fan favorite.

For this album, the frontman of the band, Jesse Rutherford, portrays the character Chip Chrome. Chip appears on the album cover and music videos in a cosmic silver outfit and makeup. Overall, this album has an edgier vibe than some of the past music by The Neighbourhood, such as the song “Sweater Weather,” which garnered attention for the band back in 2013.

The singles for the album, which stood out the most in my opinion, were “Cherry Flavoured,” “Pretty Boy,” “Middle of Somewhere,” “Devil’s Advocate,” and “Lost in Translation.” There have also been music videos released for each of the singles. Watch them below:

Overall, this album does not disappoint. Personally, I have had “Lost in Translation” and “Cherry Flavoured” on repeat since they were released. Listen to the entire album below:
