EARTHGANG paid a visit in the flesh (over the internet) to r/hiphopheads on Sunday to update fans on projects in progress, promote their recent feature on Louis The Child’s recent album Here For Now, and express their gratitude for being nominated for BET’s Best Rap Group award.
Employing some slang I’m too square to fully understand, the group explained that they’re working on new music with fellow Spillage Village member JID, and producer/rapper/singer Isaiah Rashad, whose past credits include the likes of Kendrick & SZA. The timeline isn’t entirely clear, but according to a comment from the band, Isaiah (who has apparently been facing harassment from impatient EARTHGANG fans), is sending the sessions over, so hopefully it won’t be long.
Keep your eye out for new EARTHGANG, and roll on over to r/hiphopheads or r/spillagevillage for more updates from the band themselves, who have more authority and a far richer vocabulary.
