Quality Control Takes Over

Rap/Hip-Hop has always had musical factions that stood out more than other labels like No Limit Records, Cash Money Records, Bad Boy Records, and the list can go on and on. Each of these collections of artists had a time in which they rained over the rap game which inevitably encouraged others to follow in their footsteps. Although there are many new labels that are making a push to repeat history, I think Quality Control Music is at the top of the list right now.

Quality Control is an Atlanta based record label run by Kevin Lee” Coach K” and Pierre Thomas “Pee.” The two were friends of Gucci Mane, who originally discovered talents like producer Zaytoven and The Migos. When Gucci Mane ran into legal problems, he introduced these artists to Quality Control and the rest is history.

Since then, the label has grown and now has artists such as Lil’ Baby, The Migos, The City Girls, Lil’ Yachty, Cardi B, Duke Deuce, Marlo, and many more! The label is leading the charge in music right now with their unity and representation of Atlanta in a time when they are considered a catalyst for a lot of musical trends. Each artist bringing a different flavor and uniqueness to the game.

The label is growing rapidly and is built off of an all-star list of rappers. They have even released two label collaboration albums with most of their artists featured together. The future even seems safe with artists like Duke Deuce and The City Girls climbing the charts. They are definitely a name to remember going forward in music.
