Megan Thee Stallion Speaks up for Herself After Public Shooting

Megan Thee Stallion took to Twitter to make her first official statement since being shot, made fun of, and ridiculed on the site. She criticized the belittling jokes of her pain and trauma. She tweeted, “Black women are so unprotected & we hold so many things in to protect the feelings of others without considering our own. It might be funny to y’all on the internet and just another messy topic for you to talk about but this is my real life and I’m real life hurt and traumatized.”

On top of calling out the blank lack of empathy for herself and other black women, she cleared the air on what happened the night of her shooting. She wrote on Instagram, “The narrative that is being reported about Sunday’s morning events are inaccurate and I’d like to set the record straight.”

She continued: “On Sunday morning, I suffered gunshot wounds, as a result of a crime that was committed against me and done with the intention to physically harm me. I was never arrested, the police officers drove me to the hospital where I underwent surgery to remove the bullets. I’m incredibly thankful to be alive and that I’m expected to make a full recovery, but it was important for me to clarify the details about this traumatic night. I’m currently focused on my recovery, so I can return back to my life and back to making music as soon as possible.”

Tory Lanez’s Involvement?

Lil Ju Made Da Beat (Megan Thee Stallion’s producer) saying claims of Tory Lanez protecting Megan is bullshxt.

Fellow rapper, Tory Lanez, is rumored to have been the one that shot Megan Thee Stallion. This has not been confirmed by Megan but she did unfollow him on social media and her producer Lil Ju Made Da Beat has been attacking Lanez on Twitter. Tory Lanes was also arrested early Sunday morning by the Los Angeles Police Department.

Lanez was charged with carrying a concealed firearm in a vehicle and booked into the Hollywood Jail. He was able to post bond and was released later that day. Lanez is scheduled to appear in court on October 13.
