Spring Awakening Music Festival announced 6 incredible branded stages for this year’s 3-day EDM music festival at Addams/Medill Park in Chicago.
Branded stages allow attendees to discover and listen to artists who are sponsored by a specific record label, company, or artist.
For 2016, the branded stages change each of the 3-days the festival takes place. The branded stages are broken down by day below.
No stranger to Spring Awakening’s organizers, React Presents, the Body Language series which originally began at The MID nightclub in Chicago will be making its debut at this years festival.
French tropical house headliner KLINGANDE will bring soothing and uplifting beats accompanied by live instruments to this stage.
Supporting acts including THE MAGICIAN, CLAPTONE, AUTOGRAF, and DARIUS will also bring their electronic masterpieces to make this stage one of a kind.
Making its return for the second year in a row, the Bass Kitchen stage will be bringing the dirtiest and darkest corners of the Electronic world to light.
In 2015, the Bass Kitchen stage was headlined by the English dubstep producer Zomboy. This year, attendees can expect just as filthy sounds coming from headliner DATSIK, a twenty-seven-year-old dubstep DJ from Canada.
With support from FEED ME, ALISON WONDERLAND, BEAR GRILLZ, and THE TRAP HOUSE, festival goers will surely be neck-deep in head banging bliss all day.
House music’s roots lie deep in 1980’s Chicago. There’s something about the deep sounding, body moving melodies of house and techno music that unifies Chicago electronic natives.
This year, Dirtybird record label owner CLAUDE VONSTROKE from Los Angeles will be headlining the BIRDHOUSE branded stage.
These groovy sounds will be accompanied with support from deep house producer NICOLE MOUDABER, electro-house duo SIMIAN MOBILE DISCO, DANNY DAZE whom will be making his debut at the festival, and all the way from Poland: CATZ N DOGZ.
Nostalgic feelings will be running wild at the Birdhouse stage, so be sure to stop by to catch some tunes.
Getting your fill of Trance has been easy for year’s at Spring Awakening, as the TRANCE ARENA will be making another appearance.
The DJ List’s 2011 #1 producer ATB will be delivering the incomparable melodies and bringing trance-filled bliss to this branded stage and the festival attendees.
On support is ALY & FILA, COSMIC GATE, OHN O’CALLAGHAN, and BEN NICKY, who will be sure to leave you entranced and unable to leave.
Spring Awakening has put together a playlist so you know just what you’re getting yourself into if you find your way to the Trance Arena.
DJ Mag, popular for their Top 100 DJs competition, will be hosting a stage on Sunday.
Big names and crowd favorites such as the headliner Miami-born BORGEOUS will rock the stage with his big room house and bass melodies
Making an appearance for the second year in a row will be progressive house producer MORGAN PAGE, along with HUCKIE, EPHWURD and GHASTLY.
Just like with the Trance Arena stage, Spring Awakening has put together a playlist. Click here to listen.
All Gone Pete Tong
Pete Tong, who works for BBC Radio 1, will be hosting his famous stage which has made stops at major music festival such as TomorrowWorld and Electric Zoo. The All Gone Pete Tong stage promises to bring energetic electric house beats to the stage.
Headlining this stage is MAYA JANE COLES, a twenty-eight-year-old UK house producer. Maya is a self-described enigma, saying that “Maya will have written, produced, engineered, arranged, mixed and performed every element of the track; sometimes top-lining and, on most occasions, even designing the sleeve artwork too.” This unique experience should definitely not be missed.
Supporting and opening for Coles is GREEN VELVET, who will be making a return appearance for this year’s festival, dishing out all of the house beats we all have come to love. Other acts include MOON BOOTS, GOLF CLAP, and of course, PETE TONG himself.
Spring Awakenings approach at branded stages is one of the best and most well thought out we’ve seen. Be sure to stop by each of the different stages each day and expand your music horizons.
