Rammstein Comes to Chicago for Inaugural Chicago Open Air

Chicago metalheads celebrate! German metal band Rammstein was announced to be the headlining band for the first annual Chicago Open Air Festival. With them will be hometown heroes Disturbed and Iowa’s own Slipknot, along with a myriad of others like Trivium, Of Mine & Men, Korn, Carcass and more! This will be Rammstein’s only appearance in the United States for the whole year, and their first appearance in Chicago since 2012, so grab tickets while you can! In total, over 40 bands will make an appearance at Chicago Open Air. The festival will take place on the weekend of July 15 – July 17 at Toyota Park in Bridgeview.

Food

Chicago Open Air will not only feature great music, but craft beer and gourmet food as well. The Gourmet Man food lineup features selections from local Chicago favorites like Bruges Brothers, Chicago Doghouse, Dia De Los Tamales, Dinky’s Donuts, International Spud Station, Pizano’s, The Crave Bar, The Happy Lobster, and Yum Dum. The craft beer village will offer national and regional selections like Goose Island (Chicago), Iron Maiden’s own Trooper Beer, Half Acre (Chicago) Lagunitas (California), Motorhead’s Shiraz Wine, Surly (Minneapolis), Two Brothers Brewing (Chicago), and many more that are still to be announced.

The fun starts on Friday, July 15, with Rammstein, Chevelle, Ministry, Of Mice & Men, Meshuggah, In This Moment, Hollywood Undead, Trivium, Carcass, Hatebreed, Periphery, Drowning Pool, Butcher Babies, and Through Fire.

On Saturday, July 16, Disturbed will take the stage with Korn, Breaking Benjamin, Pop Evil, Gojira, Deafheaven, The Devil Wears Prada, Helmet, Nothing More, Saint Asonia, Miss May I, Beartooth, Silver Snakes, and City Of The Weak.

Closing the festival on Sunday, July 17, is Slipknot, Five Finger Death Punch, Marilyn Manson, Bullet For My Valentine, Killswitch Engage, BABYMETAL, Asking Alexandria, Corrosion of Conformity, letlive, All That Remains, We Came As Romans, Jim Breuer & the Regulators, Upon A Burning Body, and Gemini Syndrome.
