From New York, Des Rocs is bringing back Rock n’ Roll. With his first single “HVY MTL DMR” he brings an exciting sound that is mesmerizing. I was able to see him on grandson’s No Apologies Tour and Des Rocs’s stage presence and personality are of a true rockstar. I would not miss him at Lollapalooza.

Born in New York, singer-songwriter King Princess is making her mark in the industry. Her song “1950” reached a wide audience when singer Harry Styles tweeted lyrics from the song. She then released “Talia” and soon after her EP ‘Make My Bed’ in 2018. A mix of pop and breathy vocals her music will have you swaying.

Coming back to play Lollapalooza is Honne. An English electronic music duo who incorporate synthpop, contemporary R&B, and pop. They released their debut single “Warm on a Cold Night” in 2014. In 2018, they released their album “Love Me/ Love Me Not.” I would definitely put them on your list if you want some time to relax and listen to some chill music.

A Korean-American singer, DJ, and producer, going by Yaeji will seduce you with her music. Other than playing Lollapalooza, she is also playing other great festivals like Sonar and Coachella. Using catchy pop hooks and house rhythm beats, she is here to give you a good time. Just after listening to one of her songs you’ll be hooked.

After seeing his COLORS video of him singing “Navajo,” I knew I have to catch his set at Lollapalooza. He refers to his music as “Trap-House Jazz” which is a perfect description. Using trap like beats, jazz fusion, and his soulful voice; it’s music from heaven. He is a talent that needs more recognition.

Hobo Johnson and The Lovemakers

Frontman Frank Lopes Jr, came up with his stage name ‘Hobo Johnson’ while living from his car. He would then name his debut 2015 album, Toyota Corolla. Hobo Johnson and The Lovemakers bring a mix of alternative hip-hop and spoken word. On March 7, they released a music video as part of NPR’s Tiny Desk Contest, and their song “Peach Scone” gained millions of views. If you’re looking for some powerful words and chill music, his set is where you should be.

I was able to see Harry Hudson last year when they opened for Lany’s Lolla aftershow. He is an American singer-songwriter of folk-rock and pop music. His passion for creating music is something that is present the entire time he is performing. Completely candid in his music, it will touch your soul.

First time I saw Win and Woo in 2014 was when they opened for The White Panda at the House of Blues. Duo Nick Winholt and Austin Woo from Chicago, are bringing a mix of catchy melodies and bass. They have released successful remixes on Soundcloud and YouTube accumulating over 23 million streams. To see them play their first Lollapalooza is pretty amazing. Go support your local artist!

A singer-songwriter, and producer from Austin, Texas is someone to not miss. Recently saw him as an opener for Twenty-One Pilots and was quite impressed. Bringing a mix of indie pop, rock, and folk, he definitely is creating his own sound. Also, the fact that he played the drums and guitar basically at the same time was quite amazing.

Using influences from psychology and film they incorporate themes of anxiety and religion into their songs.
