Alice In Chains Cover “Soundgarden” In Memory Of Chris Cornell

Only a few days ago was the one-year anniversary of

Soundgarden frontman Chris Cornell.

To honor their fallen friend, Alice in Chains paid tribute by playing two Soundgarden songs at their show at, Rock On The Range Music Festival.

Closing out their set, Alice in Chains covered “Hunted Down” from Soundgarden’s debut EP, “Screaming Life,” and “Boot Camp,” from the final Soundgarden album, “Down on the Upside.” At the same time, the band’s lighting rig displayed “CC” and “SG” on opposite side of the stage.

Chris Cornell passed away last year after taking his own life through hanging, following a lifelong battle with depression. He has become known as one of the founding members of the 1990s grunge movement through his work with his bands, Soundgarden and Audioslave.

Rest in power, Chris!
