Originally, “Good Days” was featured as a snippet at the end of the music video for SZA’s single, “Hit Different,” which dropped in fall of 2020. The song gained immense success on TikTok, which is what led SZA to finally release the full version of the song. Since then, another unreleased song of SZA’s has garnered popularity on TikTok. TikTok user @bgottfanns created choreography to an unreleased song that SZA previously shared a snippet of on social media. Even SZA herself did the TikTok dance to the new unreleased song, which fans have nicknamed “Shirt.” SZA has confirmed that this song will be included on her upcoming album, which fans are expecting to be released in early 2021.

On January 22, SZA announced via Instagram that she would be launching a hotline, 1-888-808-0CRY. SZA’s Instagram post caption explained that the hotline would be a resource for fans to “cry n laugh n talk” with her, two days a week. Fans can also use the hotline to listen to “Good Days” or “Good Days” acoustic, partake in a meditation guided by SZA or be connected to several different resource hotlines, like the National Suicide hotline or The Trevor Project. On January 23, SZA answered some of the calls to speak with fans.
