Punk fans got some great news this week from lead singer, Brody Dalle, of The Distillers. The band announced they will be working on their first album in sixteen years this April. Dalle let fans know in an Instagram post celebrating her 40 birthday.

Dalle confirmed the band would reunite as the same members that worked together on their 2003 release, “Coral Fang.”

Earlier this year, The Distillers released their first songs in almost fifteen years, Man Vs. Magnet, and Blood in Gutters. They also toured for the first time in 12 years in early 2018.

No tour dates have been released for 2019 so far, but they will be playing the Sonic Temple Art and Music Festival this May.

Here’s a throwback to hold you over until the album comes out:

Just a girl trying to catch as much live music as possible and write a thing or two about it. When she's not attending shows or writing, you can find Devin curled up with an iced latte and her cat Pringle.
