Stream Your Favorite Artists and Festivals From Home

There is no telling when COVID-19 will slow down, so in response, music creatives have been using their online platforms as their stages.

The likes of John Legend, Madonna, Diplo, Alicia Keys, Erykah Badu, Dead Cab for Cutie and many others have found a way to keep the show going from the comfort of their homes. They have all been using their various social media platforms to stream performances online (mostly via Twitter, Twitch, Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube).

Death Cab for Cutie performed both from home on 3/20/2020 and 3/21/2020

Not only are individual musicians performing but, also full-on festivals are being streamed online. So no need to fret, Vanessa Hudgens, festival season is still going on.

If there are any shows you’d like to see there are websites helping you track the next upcoming stream such as The Social Distancing Festival, or you could check your favorite artist’s page for any live stream shows.

Other uses of their platforms:

With the free time, JoJo rewrote her hit song “Leave (Get out)” to “Chill (Stay in).” She encourages her fans to practice social distancing and to stay safe at home. Some of those lyric changes include “I’ve been chilling at home the past few days/So you gotta Facetime to talk to me/ To tell me how we’re gonna get through this together.” JoJo really wanted to help create a lighthearted mood and get people to smile.

Miley Cyrus is not necessarily performing music online, but she is using her platform to connect with other creatives and provide fans with a show. She is talking issues out, giving advice and focusing on the importance of mental health.
