In response to ongoing racial injustice and another week of protests, Leon Bridges released a new song this weekend reflecting on experiences and voicing frustrations.
The Texas artist teamed with producer/multi-instrumentalist/general legend Terrace Martin, who last week released the chaotically rousing song, “Pig Feet,” with Denzel Curry, Kamasi Washington, G Perico, & Daylyt.
“Sweeter” was apparently slated for Bridges’ upcoming album, but the artists felt compelled to release it early. “I cannot and will not be silent any longer,” Bridges wrote on an Instagram post about the song.
