With the new year comes plenty of great new albums to come. Many huge names have confirmed their upcoming album, or some sort of music release. Below are just the peak of some upcoming project for the beginning of the year. Some dates are still vague but there are some definite known releases to look forward to.

On Nov. 2, 2019, Deftones‘ front-man, Chino Moreno, confirmed that Deftones would be releasing a new album in 2020. Moreno said that this upcoming album is very reminiscent of their well loved album, “White Pony.” There is no official release date yet but it very anticipated.

“We’re definitely getting into experimental sort of modes, which is the funnest phase that we get into. One of the biggest records in our career is obviously White Pony, and it’s our most commercially successful record, as well, but that was also one of our most experimental records, especially for the time when it came out. That record, making it was… what’s a good word to describe it? We felt really free.”

Chino Moreno told Kerrang!

Amber Liu
Release date for “X”: Unknown

Amber Liu has slowly been releasing every song from her album, “X,” at a monthly basis since the end of 2019. The album has shown a great variety of emotion, depth, and style. She tends to switch and combine pop, EDM, r&b, and occasionally (but very rarely) rap.

For those who don’t know of Amber, she is a former member of K-pop group F(X), but don’t let the deviate you from this wonderfully talented woman. Give “X” a shot when it officially drops. In the mean while, check out “Ready for the Ride,” “Numb,” and “Other People.”
